Thank you for your comment, Alfred. The thing is, that I want a Savage (just sold my SR 500) but here in the midst of the forrests in Finland they are HUGELY expensive. A Savage that cost 3thousand D-mark cost three times as much here, due to the taxes on imported bikes. It might sound a bit odd, but now we finns have discovered that if we buy bikes from another EU-country, we do not need to pay the tax for the import, we only pay tax for the registration, and that is not much. So I am now looking for a bike that I can buy and then I will ask one of the trailer-drivers I know to pick it up for me on his way home from Germany or Holland or wherever...
Some mc-dealers here have realized they can make easy money this way, they buy bikes in Germany, take them home, register them and sell them as if they always had been in Finland and they make a very good profit out of that, when doubleing the prize... I don't want to give away any money to that kind of people. So - I try to find a bike this way.If you know of any good Savage, it doesn't have to be your own, just for sale, please help me and drop me a line so I can contact the owner. Any help is appreciated.
